Most mornings I walk in the yard between 8 and 9 am. Summer in Florida is really hot and I like to get out before the heat and humidity are in the 90’s. Today’s photos are of the periwinkle (vinca) beside the front porch and the miniature Mexican petunia in the flower bed beside the porch.
Have a blessed day!

Happy MosaicMonday
wishing you a beautiful Monday
Such pretty, cheerful little flowers,.
Happy MM.
Gorgeous flowers! I’m in Florida too. If I don’t get out nice and early it’s just not happening, just too hot. Hopefully things will start to cool down at least a little bit soon. Have a great week 🙂
I don’t stay out long but I won’t go out later in the day – it’s too stifling
It’s so humid in the mornings and there is NO breeze lately. But I love your flowers. We were so happy to find the miniature Mexican petunias. They are so much prettier than the tall ones. Enjoy your day!
miniature Mexican petunias are not invasive like the large Mexican petunia and they will try to bloom all year if it’s not too cold and they get watered
They’re very lovely, such soft pastels. Thank you!
Your flowers are so bright and colorful.
I try and get my outside stuff done early as well.
Last weeks heat and humidity were awful but the flowers seem to be handling it just fine.

Very pretty! We’ve been trying to get out and walk a bit whenever the weather allows too as it has been an unusually hot and muggy summer here. #MMBC
I also like to go out early in the morning and those are beautiful flowers that you have!
Very pretty!
thanks Lydia
Lovely colourful blooms and a good way to start the day 🙂
Have a safe bloomingtastic week ???
What a great way to start your day! I love the bright colors.
thanks Sandra
Carol – yes, mornings and evenings are the way to go in Florida. I have very fond memories of my vinca in Ohio. We are having a heat wave in Montana right now. Good thing we spent the day on the river! Thanks for linking to Mosaic Monday!
Hi Carol 🙂 Your flowers are so beautiful! I’m a morning gal but I do love the heat and humidity too, I guess it’s due to our really cold winters. Beautiful photos! I love those periwinkles!
I do love periwinkles too! Happy Tuesday!
Beautiful flowers. They must brighten your day every time you go in and out of your house. #mmbc
Pretty in lilac I think… my favorite! Have a wonderful day… stay healthy and safe!
Those are such pretty and delicate flowers. Love the colours x
I love your pretty flowers!
thanks Vicki
I saw periwinkles in a garden at Cornell University today and found that some chemo drugs were derived from this flower. I do remember that Florida summer heat well – and how well periwinkles do in that heat.
Such a delicate looking flower #mysundayphoto
The flowers are beautiful! I can’t imagine temperatures that hot. I’m not surprised that you get out early in the morning.
It’s the only time I can stand the heat. Have a great day!
I used to always walk early before breakfast, but age and/or laziness have taken their toll and I don’t seem to have the strength. I am trying to get out right after breakfast while it’s so hot (but not Florida hot). Your flowers are sweet!
