Frangipani & Periwinkle

One morning after a night of rain, I found a small handful of flowers on the ground – lovely frangipani.  I picked them up and brought them inside to put in a little bowl of water.

I used a small cut crystal bowl and arranged the flowers.  It seemed to me that I need a touch of color.  I went outside and cut a few little periwinkle flowers to add. I put it on a plate to protect my table.

My bouquet will last one day, but it does bring me joy.

Wishing you flowers and sunshine.

  1. So pretty, they look like little candy pieces.

Thank you for linking up to #MySundayPhoto ❤️

  2. There is something about lasting one day. There is a sadness to it (because it’s so lovely) and they that fragility of life and understanding how we should treasure each day for its beauty because of course it can soon be gone. I love this.

    1. actually one frangipani lasted 2 days which surprised me but all summer I’ll see more until fall

  3. Carol – simple, elegant and altogether stunning. Thanks for an enchanting start for Mosaic Monday this week! (By the way, I am deeply grateful for your faithful participation in MM – it means so much to me!)
