I’ve been having my groceries delivered for the last 3 months. I’ve really missed going through the fresh flowers at the market to make a bouquet. I tried something new with my last delivery and ordered a bouquet of baby’s breath and one of yellow tulips. I had wanted several hydrangea but I couldn’t order them. Anyway the flowers were lovely when delivered with my groceries.
I cut the ends of the stems and put the baby’s breath in the milkglass vase of water plus additive. Then I cut the ends of the tulips and arranged them throughout the baby’s breath. The vase is on a vintage queen-size quilted sham on the dining table. I look for quilted shams at thrift stores as they are perfect for the table.
I’m really happy with how it looks. It’s a present for my good friend Vickie next door. I called her the next day and said please come over I have a present for you. It was a Mother’s Day present and general thank you for all she does for me. She is the sweetest person and so giving.
Fresh flowers just brighten up a room, don’t they? Anyway I enjoyed them Thursday night. Vickie loved her present I gave her the Friday before Mother’s Day.
Have a wonderful day!

…stay smart and safe and one day you will be able to shop for flowers in person.
I love your flowers. Stay safe.
How lovely of you. I do love fresh flowers in the home too. They really cheer the place up.
Hope you’ve had a nice weekend. x
Beautiful!
Missing fresh flowers has been my big thing in these recent month and weeks. Fortunately, the lilies of the valley and lilacs are coming on so I should have some later today!
forsythia and lilacs are 2 of my favorite northern bushes
Your arrangement is beautiful! You are a great neighbor to do such a thoughtful thing for your neighbor.
thanks for your kind words – have a great week!
Carol – sometimes the simplest of arrangements are the most sophisticated and gorgeous. And so it is with your combination of yellow tulips and baby’s breath. Refreshing! And how nice of you to give it to your helpful neighbor! Thanks for linking to Mosaic Monday, my friend!
Hello, the yellow tulips are beautiful. The arrangement is lovely. I agree fresh flowers in the house make me happy.
Take care! Enjoy your day, wishing you a happy new week!
I’ve bought some of the old pillow shams because they are so pretty and I put them on my pillows sometimes. I’ll have to work on one to use on the table! What a great idea. Love the fresh flowers! Hugs!
they are often inexpensive and have intricate designs
My market had lily bouquets on sale last week so I had a bunch added to my order. I gave them to our friend across the hall as a present. – Margy

Lovely – and the quilt is a nice touch!
Beautiful!
I’ve been having groceries delivered, too, and never thought of adding flowers to my order. What a lovely idea, especially since you gave them to your neighbor. As a quilter, I think the little quilt is the perfect finishing touch.
Hello Carol,
thanks for sharing these lovely flowery shots! 🙂
Have a nice week ahead!
Yellow is my favorite flower color.
How gorgeous!
I am not a fan of the color yellow except in tulips and roses. They are just lovely.
