Rustic Bunny Spring Table

How are you doing this Wednesday morning?  I hope your family and you are safe and sound.  Today I’m celebrating my 72nd birthday with a pretty spring table.  Nope, not seeing anyone; I’m just talking on the phone as I have done daily for several weeks.  So, now let’s think about a pretty table to lighten the mood.  I want a more rustic spring table. Several weeks ago on my last trip to Ross for Less, I got several items that are perfect for a table: a wood slab I’ve wanted for a while, a rustic rabbit figurine, and 2 springtime plates with flowering trees.   The wood slab is the basis for the centerpiece.  I cannot go buy fresh flowers so I added a faux flower arrangement with pink tulips.  On the side of the flowers is the rustic bunny.  I put a sheer pink ribbon around his neck.  Ribbon has been also added to the vintage milk glass vase of flowers.

For place settings I started with 2 woven place mats.

I put my pink chargers on top of each place mat.

I added the two spring plates of flowering trees with silverware and napkin.

I put my decorated napkins in wooden napkin holders after folding the napkins to flair.

On top of each plate I added a vintage china cup in pink with a little floral moss and a hard boiled egg.  No, I didn’t decorate the eggs. I like the natural brown shell with spots.  I love the rustic spring look of tea cup nests. First cup:

The table brightens my home. I hope your enjoyed it.

Knowing me I’ll probably change the table by the weekend.  If it looks good, I’ll share it with you.  I have to be honest, I haven’t done half the things I had planned for spring.  Somehow I lost some of my enthusiasm – has that happened to you? Life is really serious right now but we all need to relax and find something to enjoy. I’ve asked my friends to share some of their photos, and tomorrow we’ll take a bike ride outside Gainesville with an old friend of mine.

I hope you enjoyed this break from your day. Please make a comment and give me a web address and I will come see you. Promise!  I like seeing what you’re doing too.

Stay safe and well.
