Do you ever drive around your neighborhood and look at houses?  Sometimes I do as I like to see how other people landscape their gardens. When it’s a beautiful day and I don’t want to stay inside, then seeing  the blue skies and green grass makes me happy.  This small home a few blocks from me has a similar layout as mine. I do love the garden and small cottage look.

 

 

 

 

I’d also love to have a palm tree in my yard.  This poor palm has been cut back too much.  A healthy palm needs the fronds and a severe trim is not good.

 

 

 

 

The walkway to the front door is charming.

 

 

 

The screen door is probably original to the home. I hope whoever buys the home loves it as much as I do.  You can’t buy one like that.

 

 

 

Even the backyard is attractive.

    1. I did that about 10 years ago and I love my little house. When it comes to cleaning, smaller is better.

    1. No, I have enjoyed a drive on a pretty day looking at houses for decades. I’ve also walked the neighborhood for exercise and I love seeing what someone else has done with a yard size similar to mine. Cheap fun.

  13. Carol – I could not live in Florida – too warm for me – but I love the look of this little cottage with its manicured lawn. You’re right – that screen door is a keeper!     1. You know Angie I often see beautiful winter scenes on other blogs which is really the only way I want to experience them. That’s why there are so many flavors of ice cream in the world – we’re all unique. Have a great week.

  21. I’m sold by the big lot and the front porch. If I bought the house, I’d turn the front lawn into a jungle of flowers, plants, and trees. 🙂 Take care out there.
