The Red Snowman Table

I’ve been decorating for Christmas. I’m quite enamored with snowmen for Christmas. Living in Florida,  I usually can only make one on the beach with sand. I made a cardboard box snowman the other week, and he is adorable on the front porch.  I added wintry Christmas to the dining room with pine cone trees and an angel.

Now I want to make snowmen in the dining room.  I made a table a couple of years ago with snowman plates. Besides buying plates printed with snowmen, I wanted to do something different. I’ve seen many photos on Pinterest of snowman tables.  It usually involves a white plate and saucer with a small black napkin, utensils, and vegetables for the face. Today I present my Red Snowman Table.

The base of the table is a new red tablecloth I found at Aldi.  It’s bright and cheerful and makes white plates pop.  I added grape tomatoes for nose and mouth and black olives for eyes and buttons to the plates and saucers.  A black paper beverage napkin is the hat with a black knife rim. The cloth napkin is placed at the “neck” as a scarf and I added my vintage green glasses.

For a centerpiece, I used a red cut-crystal vase with artificial flowers of red and white with real pine cones and live greenery from the yard.  It is between a silver reindeer candle holder and a vintage off-white ceramic Christmas tree. The centerpiece vignette is on a white lacy mat.

I hope you enjoyed this red and white Christmas table.

Take away a few Christmas ornaments and the Santa in the corner, and it is a perfect winter party table.
