Gypsophila, Baby’s Breath, is a genus of flowering plants in the carnation family. I do love making a bouquet with lots of little white baby’s breath. Luckily Publix, the local supermarket, has a bunch for only $4. I added one stalk of amaryllis from the yard which has 4 red and white blooms plus a few white alstroemeria. It makes me happy!

what a beautiful combo, Carol. It’s simply lovely!
I’m happy, too, looking at the photos of your arrangement, Carol. I don’t know why I got so surprised about baby’s breath and carnations being of the same family. After I thought about it, I saw the connection in my mind. Ha, I never thought it’d be fun learning about plants.
That’s really clever to use supermarket flowers as filler with your own beautiful focus flower! Publix has a nice selection of flowers…only trouble being its location right next to the bakery which I try to ignore ))
Oh I know it’s devious of them – it’s so hard walking by the bakery to get to the fresh veggies and fruits!
…what a wonderful thing, to be able to go to your garden and cut such a beautiful amaryllis!
Such beautiful colors in your bouquet, and an unusual combination! Many thanks for sharing this beauty with All Seasons, Blog Friend! Have an awesome week:)
