Channel 10 St Pete Came to My Home!

Last week I got an email from Jenny Dean, a reporter at the local CBS affiliate, WTSP, Channel 10. She had found my blog and liked it! I was totally stunned!

 

 

 

 

 

 

We traded emails and I agreed for them to come to my home to film my Easter table, crafting deviled Easter chick eggs, and making a spring vegetable garden appetizer. I was very nervous, excited, and a little terrified.

 

 

 

 

So last week at 11 am on Wednesday, a car arrived with Jenny and her camera man.  Lots of lights and a hand-held camera and 2 wonderful people!

 

 

 

 

 

It took about 35 minutes to talk about my pink Easter table’s inspiration, create a couple of deviled Easter chick eggs, and show how simple it is to make a cute spring appetizer with hummus and veggies.   Then they were off to the station to edit it down to about 2 minutes.  My piece aired yesterday morning on the 5 am news and is now on the WTSP website. Click the link below to see it. They say TV adds 10 pounds – well I’m thinking it added 20 and I’m sticking with that!

  2. I hope when they air it you will show a link on your blog to the video. I’d love to see it too! I would have been stressed to have people come to my house! I would have been cleaning and reorganizing for DAYS! Well done, you! I hope you’ll share!

    1. Jeanie it did air yesterday and I did give the link in the post. I hope you’ll go see it. I was a nervous wreck and I moved lots of things out of my little kitchen to make it more appealing.
