January Paradise Sunset

Fort De Soto County Park

The end of the day in the right place is like a time in paradise with deep colors and layered skies. Today I’m sharing nature’s glory at Fort De Soto Park.  See last week’s post for more information on the park.

Sunset on the beach,  against the palm trees.

The brilliant color dims.

And the sun is gone.

Carol

I was raised in Tennessee but have lived in Florida for many years. Love my small home in the Tampa Bay area and its developing garden. My decorating style is eclectic - some vintage, some cottage, all with a modern flair. Pursuing a healthier lifestyle. Spent many years in social services but am happily retired.

  1. Carol – the sun may be gone, but the good news is it will come back tomorrow! My favorite shot is the one with the sea grass in the foreground … stunning composition! For all of us here in the frozen North, we are grateful for these warm and sunny shots – and I appreciate you sharing them with Mosaic Monday!

  2. Those are stunning sunsets Carol. Great photos. I was very interested in your explanation of hollies as we have several (standard ones) in our garden. Our daughters house is named Holly Bank and her Black Labrador is Holly!

    1. I love the old tradition of houses having names and Holly Bank sounds like it’s right out of a Beatrix Potter book. Here in the US a house is rarely named except for old mansions of the rich. I’m guessing your “standard” holly are English Holly. To most Americans they think of English holly at Christmas. Have a beautiful day!
