I’m already well on my way to getting my present list for birthdays and Christmas until the end of the year. One homemade gift that is popular is Red & Green Jalapeno Jelly. This is a beautiful jelly of red bell peppers and green jalapeno peppers. It’s a perfect relish for many holiday favorites, or serve it with cream cheese on a cracker.

A jar of homemade jelly is a great last-minute gift when you forgot someone or when visiting. Choose any size jar and tie a ribbon to make it pretty.

For those of you who didn’t grow up watching your mother or grandmother can, Ball has a great canning how-to at Yes You Can: Canning 101. I recommend the water canning method for jelly. It’s not as hard as it looks either.

Oooh – I have the last of the peppers to harvest so might have to give this a go. I don’t have liquid pectin but do have sugar with added pectin so hopefully that will work. A lovely seasonal recipe to add to #GoigGreen – thank you 💚

My Dad used to make jelly very similar to this from his homegrown peppers! I loved it on toast or with crackers and cream cheese, the way you show it. 🙂
