Coastal Fall Table

It’s almost the end of September and here in Florida it’s hot with blue skies. The only difference from August I see are brown leaves falling from the crepe myrtle tree and less rain. In my heart I know it’s fall and I’m adding deeper colors and texture to my coastal home.

 


 

 

Last week at the thrift store I found a pair of king-size pillow shams in a shell print. The colors are perfect for a coastal fall table. Turquoise, brown, peach, and deep rust colors are used in the beach themed print.  One of the shams is perfect to be a table scarf for my small table and the pair was only $2.00.  I can’t beat that.

 

 

 

 

Since I wanted natural textures, I added my dark brown chest of green plants updated with peach flowers and dried accents.  The chest is surrounded by shells and pine cones which are perfect for a fall Florida table. On both sides are warm metal candle holders. Autumn is a perfect time for warm metals and natural textures like wood and dried elements,

 

 

 

 

 

 

For my place settings, I started with my woven place mats which add so much texture.   I used my turquoise plates and warmer colored metal accents in the cutlery and napkin rings.  Turquoise glasses complete the place setting.

 

 

 

 

 

 

I’m pleased with my autumn table as it is warm, inviting, and completely at home in my coastal home.

 

 

 

 

 

 

I’m celebrating the season with a deep colored shell table.  I do love turquoise and brown in the fall.
