A Visit to Wild Florida On Cypress Lake

Wild Florida Air Boat Rides & Animal Park

Wild Florida

If you really want to get a taste of Florida’s wonders when visiting Central Florida, take a trip to Wild Florida. They offer the most pristine airboat eco tour in the Orlando area. Located on the beautiful shores of Cypress Lake, at the headwaters of the Everglades. Just a short drive from Orlando, the Disney area, the Space Coast, and the Orlando International Airport, Wild Florida offers the best of Central Florida’s most sought after activities: airboat rides, alligators and real Florida experience. Our airboat tour is widely known as the most beautiful ride in town because of it’s untouched 4,200 acre nature preserve, free of any development or signs of human life; 100% pure Florida wilderness at it’s finest.

There’s so much to do and so much to see. See the long horn cattle reminiscent of Florida cowboys a hundred years ago.

Take a look at cypress swamps and enjoy the sunny day.  The best air boat tour time of the day is 9:00 a.m. in the summer and noon in the winter

The animal wildlife park is only $10 admission for ages 13 and up and $8 for a child which I think is a good deal. An even better deal is the $20 annual animal park pass. If you are a part-time Florida resident or live in central Florida, this is a wonderful family activity for a great price.

Air boat rides are pricier but comparable to other rides I’ve taken. Prices start at $28 for adult and $25 for a child for a half-hour tour.  There are hour tours, half day packages, and many kinds of special encounter packages.

Thanks for taking a ride with me and seeing Florida’s nature.  Let’s end with a shot of orchids and a sunset on Cypress Lake.

I was raised in Tennessee but have lived in Florida for many years. Love my small home in the Tampa Bay area and its developing garden. My decorating style is eclectic - some vintage, some cottage, all with a modern flair. Pursuing a healthier lifestyle. Spent many years in social services but am happily retired.

  1. I love the goat kids and the tortoise, but I have admit one alligator was enough for me when it tried to climb onto the boat I was in. Been there, done that! I agree, however, that it’s a great part of Florida to visit. I’m so glad we did…and we even saw lemurs, so cute to watch.

  2. That really does look like a fun day out Carol! I’ve never been on an airboat before so that would be an experience. And what a perfect way to end the day with that beautiful sunset.

    Thanks for sharing with #MMBC.

  3. Wow, that’s a lot to see–such fantastic scenery and critters! I love the ‘Middle of Nowhere’ sign. I’ve always wondered where that was, exactly

  4. I’ve only been to Florida once, and it was to visit family. I’d love to actually go as a “tourist”. What a wonderful place to visit!

    1. If you ever visit central Florida, let me know. I’d love to meet you in “real” life.
