A Garden in The Neighborhood

Several weeks ago I wrote a post with ideas for a small garden.  I mentioned a lovely garden 2 blocks from me where the small area between the sidewalk and fence was seeded with many flowers like sunflowers.

Today we’ll visit this beautiful small yard for a closer look.  My neighbor works early in the morning daily watering and caring for his garden. The small yard in front of the house is beautiful.

Beside the driveway to the right of the front yard is a thin row of flowering plants.

In front of the house is a gated area filled with flowers.

He uses shells and mulch around all the flowers.

His corner lot has a stop sign to the left of the front yard which he surrounded with flowers.

Around the corner to the small side yard between the sidewalk and his privacy fence is what I call a tiny field of flowers.

It’s always a pleasure to drive by his home and see what’s new in the neighborhood.

  1. How beautiful. Her garden is a real credit to her. I love pottering around in my garden, although my husband is adamant that I’m just hiding from the kids! 😉

    Thanks for sharing with #MMBC.

  2. Thanks for your nice comment on my garden. This one puts me to shame. I have planted zinnias, one of my favorites but it will be a bit before they bloom here in Michigan. I love all the color here. I’m definitely a bright palette kind of person!

    1. The gardener I shared today is a poet with plants and goes far beyond my capability. I agree I love all the color and lush greenery.

  3. The garden does your neighbour credit and it enhances the neighbourhood environment. I try to fill our front garden with lots of flowering plants and shrubs and it also looks colourful through the Spring and Summer.

  4. Love how you show your friends and neighbor’s yards with flowers, Carol! A great approach also to connect with people:) Love this yard, it looks so cute, and totally doable:) Many thanks for showing it to All Seasons! Have a blooming week!

  5. How beautiful & I bet she spends a lot of time in her garden. I unfortunately cannot have such a thing. I’m allergic to bees. So I only look at pictures and from afar. Thanks for sharing.

  6. Thank for taking the time to take such gorgeous photos. It is really hard to keep a garden so beautiful. It takes a lot of time and dedication. We hope you are enjoying your summer so far. Have a great day.

  7. What a beautiful garden, I really love lots of flowers like this, full of colour and beauty. I bet it smells real good too.

  9. Hi Carol, your neighbours dedication has paid off and her garden is really beautiful. Her greenery looks so fresh and healthy too. I love the little field of flowers, that must attract bugs and birds.
