4th of July Table To Celebrate

It’s summer and almost 4th of July. Each year between Memorial Day and 4th of July, I decorate with patriotic decor.  Last week I shared my homemade patriotic table scarf from an old t-shirt. I used it with a red, white, and blue centerpiece with my country bandana summer ring.

Today I’ll share my 4th of July table for 2018 using this centerpiece as the basis of the table.  I added red round placemats and white chargers with blue vintage plates.

Then I added patriotic stars and stripes saucers on top. I do love to layer.

I’m using my summer silverware with red handles and my country blue check napkins. Rickrack ties the napkins.

A bright fun table to celebrate the 4th of July.

Carol

I was raised in Tennessee but have lived in Florida for many years. Love my small home in the Tampa Bay area and its developing garden. My decorating style is eclectic - some vintage, some cottage, all with a modern flair. Pursuing a healthier lifestyle. Spent many years in social services but am happily retired.

  1. Lovely stuff Carol. I do rather envy your patriotism in America. We seem to have lost our own and some people now owe their allegiance to the European Union rather than Great Britain.

    1. I guess there is good and bad in every change. I grew up watching old movies from England and then graduated to classic British writers like Agatha Christie. England (or Great Britain) has always been a special place I wanted to visit but haven’t yet. Of course much of what I know about it isn’t even real because it’s mostly due to fiction in books and on the screen. I mean there isn’t really a Midsommer. I’ve always wanted to go on a garden tour and see the lake country. I did my DNA at Ancestry.com a few years ago and not surprisingly, I was 95% British Isles. I feel a kind of secondary patriotism to Britain if that makes sense. I know that is where my people came from.

  2. What a colorful, cheerful table! The bandana adds a touch of whimsy, a great idea.
