Today’s simple spring table is based on two country metal trays and salad plates I bought at Cracker Barrel in February. The trays are handy not only as trays but as centerpieces displaying vignettes and today’s chargers.
I added simple white plates and my new barnyard animal salad plates.
The napkins are in my rustic napkin rings I made last spring. The cutlery are in a burlap and lace holder to complete the simple country place setting.
For the last month I’ve enjoyed the Amaryllis in the neighborhood. Many of the early varieties were through blooming by April, but the late varieties like mine still have a few blooms to go. Amaryllis make a beautiful flower for a spring bouquet. Similar to lilies, the blooms most commonly come in multiple shades of deep red, pink, white, and a candy-stripe pink and white. Yellows and blues are also available but not seen often here in my neighborhood.
The blooms seem to last longer cut in a vase than on the plant. I bought a small pink, red, and purple bouquet at Aldi and added red and pastel variegated Amaryllis.
The flowers are the star of my spring country table. The vase sits on a woven place mat; I do love adding texture to my tables.
The corner stand has my new orchid displayed.
In front of my bouquet is a small glass vase with a few blooms.

Amaryllis, we mostly have inside for Christmas. I take them to the garden in the summer, and sometimes they bloom again.
Yes forced amaryllis are beautiful for Christmas – I’m amazed they bloom a 2nd time for you in the summer! You must a green thumb.

Your table is so pretty! I need to get out to our Cracker Barrel — haven’t been there in awhile and while the food can be a bit much, I love the shop!
They do have the cutest things, but I don’t like most of the prices. The trays and salad plates were on sale which is my kind of treat.
Lovely – I was particularly drawn to the burlap and lace cutlery holders! We have now moved into our house (as of Saturday) and I am starting to turn my attention to decorating (very slowly). Burlap will certainly have a role; it is such a versatile material, don’t you think? Thanks for the inspiration today.
