A Beautiful Day in Miami

One of my favorite places in greater Miami is Key Biscayne. Key Biscayne is a Florida town on a barrier island across the Rickenbacker Causeway from Miami. (The causeway is named for WWI flying ace, Eddie Rickenbacker. He and his wife had a home in Miami toward the end of their lives.)  The view of Miami across the Miami Bay is always wonderful, but some days it’s incredible.  Today’s photo is one of the best.

Next week I’ll write about my favorite restaurant on Key Biscayne with incredible views and great food.  Thanks for visiting.

I was raised in Tennessee but have lived in Florida for many years. Love my small home in the Tampa Bay area and its developing garden. My decorating style is eclectic - some vintage, some cottage, all with a modern flair. Pursuing a healthier lifestyle. Spent many years in social services but am happily retired.

  1. Hi Carol, it is a beautiful view. The sky is so blue and the buildings look like minatures. Love the little water plane you captured too. They aren’t something we see here.

  2. That photo is incredible. I can’t believe the color of that water. I am ready to read about the food in Miami.

  3. Beautiful image of Key Biscayne! Of all things I miss most about Miami, it’s the Cuban food. Yum! The water isn’t the worst to look at either. 😉

I love to make new friends and get to know you.
