Red Poinsettia Christmas Table

Bright and cheerful snowmen and red poinsettias are the basis for this festive holiday table.

The center piece is my faux planter updated for Christmas with red candles and porcelain snowman at the base.

The place setting begins with a green quilted place mat topped with a white charger.  The vintage snow couple plates are adorned with a white poinsettia.  Santa napkins are held in a white ceramic napkin ring. All the place setting is vintage except for the white charger.

The Christmas white lace tablecloth is my favorite with its classic appeal.  The corner stand has a vintage white and gold teapot adorned with ribbon.  On the wall I hung my little wall tree I got on clearance last year.

I was raised in Tennessee but have lived in Florida for many years. Love my small home in the Tampa Bay area and its developing garden. My decorating style is eclectic - some vintage, some cottage, all with a modern flair. Pursuing a healthier lifestyle. Spent many years in social services but am happily retired.

    1. That is a problem. The planter is kept in the living without the red flowers. I have a wreath holder bag that I keep my 2 wreaths and lots of faux flowers. The plates are kept on a shelf in the garage with several other plates I’ve collected at the thrfit store. Every couple of years I give some plates back to the thrift store for them to sell again. The little snowmen figurine I’m giving to my girl friend who has a thing for snowmen. She’s mad for them, but I don’t know where she’s going to keep them – we both have small houses. Some people have lots of boxes of Christmas decor in the attic, garage, basement etc. When someone moves, then thrift stores get lots of donations.

  1. I love poisettias for Christmas, I don’t know why, some shops here sell hiacynthus with Christmas decorations. For me hiacynthus belongs to Easter….

  2. I always enjoy looking at pretty tablescapes since we don’t have a table and chairs anymore. Our single wide, mfg. home doesn’t have a dining area. Makes me really miss our house in KY, had nice dining room for our table and chairs along with my buffet/hutch. Used to keep all my jadeite, petal ware and whatever other collectibles I wanted to show on buffet/hutch. When we bought this place in western CO had to sell it too.
Your dining room table looks so pretty and festive, love it.
Hope you have a wonderful Christmas
    Merry Christmas

    1. When I lived in a larger home, I also had a china cabinet. Got rid of it when I downsized so I understand. Merry Christmas!

I love to make new friends and get to know you.
