I recently bought a new pillow cover that’s perfect for autumn through the holidays. Don’t you love the beautiful deer art that’s everywhere? This was an inexpensive cover that I could see on my white futon with a couple of tan pillows. A deer with butterflies – I loved it.
When I opened the package and looked at it, I saw another possibility. It would make beautiful wall art with the right frame.
I looked at the several thrift store frames I have and found an off white that is about the right height. The pillow cover would fit if I folded it. Using cardboard cut to size of frame, I folded and taped the sides to the cardboard. I didn’t cut the cover as I want to be able to use it on a pillow in the future.
The white frame looks great with the deer and butterflies.
This inexpensive art cost me about $6.50. I love making something beautiful for a little money.

That looks very stylish on the wall. I love to see our deer here on the farm roaming int heir field in autumn, may be I should try bringing a little art indoors too #MMBC
That is gorgeous. Just perfect for this time of year.
Such a great idea and very inexpensive too x #MMBC
What a lovely idea! I love how it looks so festive yet didn’t cost a fortune. I love reading about all your ideas, you’re so much more creative than I am 🙂

I love it, so perfect for now X #mmbc
What a nice idea! I see many deer in my yards and love to watch the them. If I find a nice pillow fabric like this I’d like to also frame it.
Wonderful that you could see another way to use the pillow cover. Totally agree with not cutting it up. I’d be tempted to embellish it as a pillow cover, to make it different. It does make a perfect seasonal bit of art, at the moment. #MMBC
It’s amazing that you creating such a beautiful ‘picture’ out of a pillow cover! Thanks so much for sharing at our Party in Your PJs link party.
Carol, you’re so right…the deer pillow cover/framed photo is so pretty! Looks great in the frame, and when you’re ready, you’ll so enjoy it as a pillow too! Very nice!
thanks Florence – that means a lot to me coming from you
It’s beautiful Carol, and clever idea to use it as art! I was contacted to do a review for them. I answered yes, but never heard back. Thanks for sharing with SYC.
