For summer, I like colorful, casual tables. From Memorial Day to the second week of July, I am partial to red, white, and blue. I started with my cotton blue and white tablecloth with fine red lines.
My patriotic table for 2017 has red dollar store bandannas for place mats, white china, red-handled utensils, and mason jars for drinks.
I folded the blue checked napkins in half into a triangle. I folded the two points on the sides in and flipped the napkins over with the remaining point facing down on the plates. I put the cutlery on the napkin and wrapped them with a jute string. I tied a bow in the string. This would work well if you have a buffet too.
The centerpiece is a red pitcher with white flowers and a small flag on a white plate flanked by two patriotic teddy bears.
On top of the corner cabinet is a third little bear.
The three bears were a present from a friend a couple of years ago.

I’m all for the red white and blue Carol. It’s good we share those things across the Atlantic.
The Union Jack is red, white and blue (or do you say it in different order) and I agree we should shared. We’re like cousins.
Your bright and patriotic colour scheme is very effective. I especially like the rustic look of the string around the cutlery and your little teddy bears #mmbc
