A Neighbor’s Garden

A couple of blocks from my home is a neighbor who has a beautiful garden.

Her small front yard is filled with trees, flowers, and vines.

Carol

I was raised in Tennessee but have lived in Florida for many years. Love my small home in the Tampa Bay area and its developing garden. My decorating style is eclectic - some vintage, some cottage, all with a modern flair. Pursuing a healthier lifestyle. Spent many years in social services but am happily retired.

    1. Hope you have a wonderful week Synnöve. It’s always a pleasure to have you visit.

    1. The home is on a main road next to my home and I am always looking for it. It makes my day.

  1. Pretty!! Very pretty. I also like the brick/wrought iron fencing. I can only imagine all the work and hours to keep up such a beautiful park like yard. My favorite is the yellow Esperanza. We have them here in Texas, and they bloom all summer.

  2. Gorgeous sunny floral photos. I wonder what is the magnificent bush with yellow blooms?
Have a great day Carol ❤︎

    1. The yellow shrub is an Esperanza (Tecoma stans), also known as yellow bells, yellow elder or trumpet flower. It’s prized for the clusters of bright yellow flowers it produces throughout much of the year. This plant, cultivated in landscapes within U.S. Department of Agriculture plant hardiness zones 8b through 11 a. It is not cold hardy.

  3. It’s a delight to walk around a neighbourhood, see other neighbours’ gardens and appreciate the beauty there. I’m visiting for the first time. I’ve enjoyed seeing yours. Have a lovely day!

  4. Well, hi there and thanks for stopping by!!! That lady surely has a green thumb. Me… well, my land only has greenery because I’m allergic to bees so no flowers around here that’s for sure. That’s just asking for trouble!!! Have a great day! hugs

    1. I’d love to have this garden too but I must say this lady is out every single day working in the garden. Lots of work.

  5. My, your neighbor puts a lot of time into making this garden so beautiful! I love to walk in my neighborhood and enjoy the gardens, too. I purposely plan my route so I can go by my favorites.
