Recently I bought a new holiday planter with red poinsettia and vines in a small gold tub. I added a chocolate Santa and gold elements to give it height and placed it on my green Depression glass cake stand. This is the inspiration for my table.
I got the white lace Christmas tablecloth from The Old Time Pottery in New Port Richey. They have incredible deals, and I always enjoy wandering the store to see all the latest items.
To the left side of the planter, I added a vintage ceramic sled with reindeer and a vintage forest green small bowl (Sandwich pattern) holding chocolate ornaments.
To the right of the planter, I added a green Depression glass candle holder.
The vintage plates are white with a green patterned rim and gold edge.
In the center of each plate is a forest green bubble foot sherbet/champagne glass (Anchor Hocking 40’s, 50’s, 60’s). I put a chocolate ornament in each glass.
In the corner, I added a white ceramic Santa.
Love it at night.

Very nice vintage tablescape. The vintage plates are so pretty as is the table cloth. Whenever I get some sort of new to me vintage piece I always wonder what stories they could tell me.

Thanks. The plates belonged to my grandmother – nothing expensive but I have a piece of her with me.

Carol, what a gorgeous and festive table! The depression glass adds a wonderful touch of green and ties it all together so beautifully! I never thought about using the chocolates as decor, but love the way that you incorporated the candy into the planter and in other spots on the table!
