In The Garden: White Lily Time

For the last ten days I have been enjoying my white lily time. I mentioned previously during my first two years in my home, I  planted multiple white lilies. The first year only one plant survived the hot Florida summer. The second year none of the new plants survived.  Each year that one lone lily has reproduced, and now I have multiple lilies beside my front porch.

Few yards in my neighborhood have lilies. The lovely plant does not fare well here.

When I open my front door, the sweet scent greets me.

  1. Carol, your lilies are gorgeous! Ours have stopped blooming weeks ago so it’s nice to see these beautiful blooms again. 😉

  2. Such beautiful flowers! I planted a small flower bed a few weeks ago and so far, so good. I don’t have a lot of talent for growing flowers. I love your lilies. We’re happy to have you join us for Social Boost Monday. I’d like to invite you to share at our weekly party, Snickerdoodle Sunday, too.

    1. Thanks for the invite. Would love to Snickerdoodle Sunday. One thing about bulb flowers – plant and they do the work and make new plants. In a few years, you have lots more w/o digging. They just need sun and water.

  3. Well you are one lucky gal to have these gorgeous Lilies survive while others haven’t in Florida. I can imagine the fabulous scent! Thanks for sharing them with the Garden Party!
    hugs,

  4. Hello Carol, your white lilies are beautiful. I haven’t seen white ones before. I often forget to plant more bulbs…I planted daffodils years ago, and this year most of them didn’t bloom.

    1. Thanks – sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. Just be sure to let the bulb greens die away naturally. That is what nourishes the bulbs.

  5. Hello, your white lilies are just beautiful. Lovely variety of photos. Happy Friday, enjoy your weekend!

  6. Hi Carol, thank you for sharing these beautiful white lilies with Today’s Flowers. They are stunning! I rarely get to see white lilies around here, so your photos were a real treat.

  7. Your flowers are just wonderful to see with the different colors. We’ve had a warm autumn and winter so far and I am so antsy to get out in the garden and plant stuff!!

    1. Thanks for the compliment – unfortunately, their blooms are gone for this season, but I am hoping they keep reproducing.
