Spring Amaryllis Blooms

First I wanted to let everyone know I am at home recuperating from my surgery on Monday. It will be a slow recovery, but I’m happy to report my pain is less than before surgery. Thanks for your support.

Last week I shared my first amaryllis blooms of white flowers. This week photos of the continued white flowers with the addition of red amaryllis. Despite the worse drought in 10 years here in Florida, I still have amaryllis blooms to lift my heart.

The red amaryllis started to bloom around the first of April. They’re so bright and cheerful.

Over in the flower bed to the right of the porch, the white amaryllis are still beautiful.

Now I’ll close with a beautiful, Michigan sunset on the lake shared by my nephew’s wife, Lisa.

  1. I can’t believe your surgery sneaked up on me. Where has time gone? I’m glad you are home and recovering and especially that you are in less pain than before. Good news.

  2. One of my favorite plants – need to get one again now that we have settled in after our recent move.

  3. Hi Carol, I am so glad you are home and feeling better after your surgery. Sending many positive and healing energies and vibes your way my friend 🙂 The Amaryllis is beautiful!

  4. I’m so sorry hearing about your surgery. I hope everything went well and you are getting healthy again. I need to back back to the eye specialist to have my eyes lasered. I guess I have glaucoma but the laser will help. Get well my friend.

  5. Wishing you a quick recovery. The sunset is lovely but what I really liked were seeing amaryllis in bloom – outdoors. Isn’t it strange that your part of Florida is in a drought and meanwhile, Ft. Lauderdale is drowning? Things are so out of balance. Alana ramblinwitham.blogspot.com

  7. Dear Carol, I am glad hat you are feeling better after the surgery!
Amaryllis are such beautiful flowers, of any color – yours are so pretty!
In our climate they can only exist as houseplants. We have now made several cuttings from my beautiful Amaryllis.
The Michigan sunset over the lake is truly breathtaking.
All the best and a happy new week! 🌷☘️🌷
