Florida Yards

Just a few photos taken around the area of landscaping I like.  While most gardens in the US are winding down as the temperatures lower, Florida yards are looking good. We’ve had lots of rain for several months, and the grass and trees are green.  Now our temperatures are down in the low 80’s F for a high and the humidity is low.  Best time of the year!!

I love this flower box.

Some people are planting new spots of color to brighten the landscape.  Others go with green plants and rocks by the sidewalk.

Thanks for the visit. Have a great week!

Carol

I was raised in Tennessee but have lived in Florida for many years. Love my small home in the Tampa Bay area and its developing garden. My decorating style is eclectic - some vintage, some cottage, all with a modern flair. Pursuing a healthier lifestyle. Spent many years in social services but am happily retired.

  1. Carol – that window box is absolutely stunning! The gray window frames are the perfect contrast for the reds and greens! Thanks for sharing this with everyone at Mosaic Monday!

  2. Yes it seems we’ve switched places. My big sis lives in N Ft Myers and they have had lots of rain lately. We have been sunny and dry. Last month it was the reverse.
    Lovely home and yard.
Take care and have a great week.

    1. that is something I’ve loved to do for decades – walk or drive slowly through a neighborhood and get ideas! Have a great Monday!

  3. Those are some really lovely yards! With record drought like conditions here most of our yards are dead and brown.

  4. Those are beautiful photos. I will be flying to Florida for a week this coming Saturday. What a great idea you gave me about taking pictures of the beautiful gardens.

    1. I don’t know what city you are flying to but most large cities in Florida have a public garden near by.

  5. Nice photos. Nice seeing all that green as we in New York State transition through fall – winter is just around the corner and I’m going to be wishing I was able to be in Florida this year.

I love to make new friends and get to know you.
