Summer DIY Recipe to Prevent Hair Damage From Chlorine

Today’s recipe is a natural, inexpensive, easy, recipe to strengthen hair exposed to chlorine.

It’s summer and who doesn’t enjoy a swim – in the ocean, lakes and pools. Short periods of swimming in a pool may not do permanent damage to your hair, but many of us spend too much time in a swimming pool. Regular exposure to a chlorinated swimming pool can cause a lot of damage to your hair. It sounds funny that wetting your hair can dry it, but chlorine can leave your hair dry and brittle. Try this recipe to minimize chlorine damage.

Hair Treatment for Dry, Brittle Hair

Ingredients

  • 1 egg
  • 3 – 4 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 1 quarter peeled cucumber

Directions

  1. Place all ingredients in the blender and blend until a wet paste.
  2. Spread evenly on your hair and leave it on for about 10 minutes.
  3. Rinse thoroughly.

Olive oil is lightweight and contains essential fatty acids to strengthen hair. A raw egg is marvelous for your hair – The yolk, rich in fats and proteins, is naturally moisturizing, while the white, which contains bacteria-eating enzymes, removes unwanted oils. Because cucumbers are high in silica, sulfur and have just enough vitamin A, they are excellent for promoting hair growth and preventing hair loss.

*Please test using a patch test to determine if you are sensitive to the ingredients before using. Hair Type: Dry, brittle
